Pricing & Fees

OtterSpots Pricing Structure​

Guests pay the following when making a booking:

Base Price (per night × number of nights)
+ Cleaning Fee (once per booking)
+ Add-Ons (if selected)
+ OtterSpots Service Fee
─────────────────────────────────────────
= Total Paid by Guest

Base Price​

The base price is the accommodation cost per night for one unit.

  • Set by the vendor
  • Can vary by day (weekends vs weekdays)
  • Can vary by season (school holidays, festive seasons)

Dynamic Pricing: OtterSpots supports dynamic pricing where prices can vary by specific dates. Contact our team to set up dynamic pricing.

Compare Price​

The original price before a discount. Shown with a strikethrough next to the current price to show savings to guests.

Example: RM 350 RM 280 per night

Included Guests​

The number of guests included in the base price.

  • Example: Base price RM 200 for 2 people
  • The 3rd guest is charged an additional fee

Extra Guest Fee​

A fee charged per guest beyond the set limit.

Example:

  • Base price: RM 200 (for 2 guests)
  • Extra guest fee: RM 50 per person
  • For 4 guests: RM 200 + (2 × RM 50) = RM 300 per night

Cleaning Fee​

A one-time fee charged for each booking (not per night).

  • Set at the location level
  • Charged to guests and received by the vendor

Security Deposit​

A deposit that can be charged to protect the property from damage.

Add-Ons​

Add-ons are additional services or items guests can choose during booking.

Example add-ons:

  • Breakfast — RM 15 per person
  • BBQ set — RM 80 flat fee
  • Kayak — RM 30 per hour
  • Tour guide — RM 100 per day

Add-ons can be set at the:

  • Location level — Available for all units
  • Unit level — Specific to a particular unit

Promo Codes​

OtterSpots provides a promo code system for marketing campaigns:

  • Percentage or fixed amount discounts
  • Can have a minimum booking requirement
  • Usage limit (number of times)
  • Validity period

To join a promo campaign or create a custom promo code for your property, contact the OtterSpots team.

OtterSpots Service Fee​

OtterSpots charges a service fee to guests to cover platform operating costs. This fee is not deducted from vendor payments.

Vendor Payouts​

  • Payments are processed after the booking is completed (check-out)
  • Made via bank transfer to the registered account
  • Payment schedule will be set out in the vendor agreement
