How Vendor Payments Work
When a guest makes a payment through the OtterSpots platform, the funds are held by OtterSpots and can be withdrawn by the vendor at any time.
Guest pays
↓
Funds enter OtterSpots
↓
Vendor requests withdrawal
↓
OtterSpots transfers to vendor's bank account
Check Available Balance
- Go to Settings → Withdrawals
- The available balance for withdrawal is displayed at the top
Balance is calculated as:
Total Platform Earnings − Completed Withdrawals − Pending Withdrawals
Request a Withdrawal
- Go to Settings → Withdrawals
- Click Request Withdrawal
- Enter the amount you want to withdraw
- Confirm bank account details
- Click Submit Request
Make sure your bank account has been registered before submitting a withdrawal request.
Withdrawal Status
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Pending | Request received, awaiting processing |
| Processing | Being processed by the OtterSpots team |
| Completed | Funds have been transferred to your bank account |
| Failed | Withdrawal failed — check the note for more information |
Withdrawal Fee
OtterSpots charges a service fee for each withdrawal. This fee will be deducted from the requested amount.
Example:
- Amount requested: RM 1,000
- Service fee: RM X
- Amount received: RM 1,000 − RM X
Register Bank Account
Before you can make a withdrawal, register your bank account:
- Go to Settings → Bank Account
- Click Add Bank Account
- Fill in bank details:
- Bank name
- Account number
- Account holder name
- Save
Make sure the bank account holder name matches the registered vendor name to avoid delays or failed transfers.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to receive funds? Typically 1–3 business days after the request is approved.
Can I submit multiple requests at the same time? No — you need to wait for the current request to complete before submitting a new one.
What happens if a withdrawal fails? The status will change to Failed with a note explaining the reason. Contact support@otterspots.com for assistance.
